A photo-essay and exhibition to celebrate the humanity behind one of London's most successful civil engineering feats and urban infrastructure projects of recent times. I was commissioned by Tideway to create this portrait series showing the collective face of the 10 year project with a workforce of 25,000. Captured across a 15 month period, 'Standing By The Thames' simultaneously captures the collective face of those who made it, with the new structures of 'Public Realm' built into the River Thames, left as a legacy for Londoners to utilise for centuries to come.
